Flo vs Clue (and the Teen Option)
Short answer: Flo is the bigger all-in-one women's health app with pregnancy tools and a community; Clue is the cleaner, science-led tracker. Both are made for adults first. If you're a teen or tween — especially before your first period — Bloomy is the one designed for you.

One app for the whole journey
Other apps start once periods have started. Bloomy starts earlier and never needs replacing — it's the only period app she'll ever need.
- 1
Before your first period
Bloomy estimates your first-period window from your age and body signs, explains every change in simple words, and helps you pack a school kit so you feel ready.
- 2
The day it starts
Log it in one tap. Bloomy switches itself into a full period tracker — same app, same data, nothing new to download or set up.
- 3
Every cycle after
Period dates, cycle length, next-period prediction, ovulation window, symptoms, cramps, moods and reminders — a complete period and cycle tracker for life.
Flo: strengths and trade-offs
Flo is one of the most downloaded period apps in the world. It covers periods, fertility, pregnancy and more, with lots of articles and an anonymous community called Secret Chats. The trade-off is that it's a lot of app, with content aimed at adults, and standard setup involves creating an account — though its Anonymous Mode lets you avoid linking your name or email.
Clue: strengths and trade-offs
Clue, from Berlin, is known for a calm, scientific approach and GDPR-level privacy. It's very good at helping you notice patterns. For teens, the trade-offs are its age rules: no under-13 users in the US, parent permission under 16, and paid features only at 18.
Where Bloomy fits
Neither Flo nor Clue is built around the years before and right after a first period. That's exactly what Bloomy does: it predicts your first period, explains each body change in simple words, then becomes your cycle tracker. No account, no ads, data on your phone. And because it becomes a full period, cycle and ovulation tracker after the first period, it's the one app she'll ever need. It's currently iPhone only.
